The Lethbridge Broncos arrived in Lethbridge to begin the 1974-1975 WCHL season. Bill Burton the owner of the Swift Current Broncos moved his franchise to Lethbridge where it became one of the most successful franchises in the league. 260 players played for the Broncos, 40 of them played in the NHL.
Bryan Trottier finished his junior hockey career in Lethbridge winning the league MVP on his way to a Hall of Fame career. Six of the Sutters played in Lethbridge on their way to becoming the most famous hockey family of all time.
